Community-Based Adaptation to Climate Change in Dena Biosphere Reserve: piloting Participatory Land Use Planning in Kohgilouyeh Boyerahmad region
Introduction The project which is defined in line with the strategy to maintain the biosphere of the United Nations (SEVILLE STRATEGY), is trying to create local groups with the knowledge necessary to deal with the harmful effects of climate change, Then by the assistance of these groups, take serious steps towards sustainable use of natural resources, water, and land.This matter has been implemented through conducting participatory training workshops, as well as targeted capacity building. participatory collaboration of local communities in adaptation to climate change and participatory exploitation and land use project within one of the sub-basin of Dena biosphere, where encompasses six villages, was announced and began by PAMA foundation on 15 March 2015 with cooperation, financial, and technical support of both SOCO foundation and environmental ministry of Germany.
